The British count is fixed, so the bigger the count, the thinner the yarn. Example: 1 pound weight yarn length is 21 x 840 yards, yarn fineness is 21, written for 21 seconds. British count is also called count in cotton textile industry. It is not a legal yarn unit in China today, but it is still widely used in cotton textile industry.
