The needle sewing thread includes polyester needle thread, which is widely used in clothing, shoes, handbags and toys; sewing of various fabrics, PVC, PU fabrics, polyester long fibre needle thread for general surface yarn and polyester short fibre thread for bottom thread.

Polyester needle thread is relatively tougher than rayon. When embroidery is carried out, the machine runs at high speed, and the polyester needle thread with high tenacity can also withstand large tension; moreover, its fire resistance is very high, even if the clothes are close to the flame, it is not easy to touch fire. Polyester yarn is not more stable than rayon, but more elastic.

With the development of polyester industry, more and more pure polyester fibers are used as raw materials for needle sewing thread. Polyester fibre is a kind of synthetic fibre with good quality. It is used to make stitches with high strength. It is second only to nylon in all kinds of stitches, and it will not reduce strength in wet state. Its shrinkage rate is very small. After proper setting, the shrinkage is less than 1%. Therefore, the sewing stitches can always be flat and beautiful without shrinkage.

Polyester needle sewing yarns threads are classified into two categories: continuous fibers (polyester long fibers) and polyester staple fibers.

Characteristics of polyester fibers needle thread:

1. High strength. The strength of staple fibers is 2.6-5.7cN/dtex, and the strength of high-strength fibers is 5.6_polyester 8.0cN/dtex. Because of its low hygroscopicity, its wet strength is basically the same as that of dry strength. The impact strength is 4 times higher than nylon and 20 times higher than viscose.

2. Good flexibility of needle thread. Elasticity is close to wool, and when the elongation is 5 to 6 percent, it can almost completely recover. Wrinkle resistance is better than other fibers needle thread, that is, the fabric does not wrinkle and has good dimensional stability. The modulus of elasticity is 22-141cN/dtex, which is 2-3 times higher than nylon.

3. Heat resistance and thermal stability are better in synthetic fabrics needle thread.

4. The surface of polyester needle thread is smooth and the internal molecules are arranged tightly.

5. Good wear resistance of needle thread. The wear resistance is second only to nylon with good wear resistance, which is better than other natural fibers and synthetic fibers in light resistance. 6. Good light resistance. Light resistance is second only to acrylic fibers needle thread.

7. Corrosion resistance of needle thread. It is resistant to bleaching agents, oxidants, hydrocarbons, ketones, petroleum products and inorganic acids. Resistant to dilute alkali, not afraid of mildew, but hot alkali can decompose it.

8. The dyeing property is poor, but the colour fastness is good and the colour is not easy to fade.

Polyester staple needle sewing thread: It is made of polyester staple fiber combed into strips and stranded. The surface will remain short fibers (commonly known as hairiness) with soft linearity, good color fastness, low elongation and simple and convenient sewing. The disadvantage is that the tensile strength is relatively poor. Polyester staple fibre needle sewing thread is widely used in the manufacture of daily household goods, such as: Household bedding, clothing shoes and hats, leather handbags, clothing toys and other products sewing, or as a bottom thread.

Polyester filament needle sewing thread: It is made of 2-4 strands of polyester filament by one step spinning and twisting machine. Smooth and featherless surface, bright color, good color fastness, linear stability and elasticity, good breaking strength. Polyester filament needle sewing thread is a mid-end product widely used in the market with moderate price. It is widely used in daily household goods, such as furniture, bedding, clothing, shoes and hats, leather handbags, clothing and toys.

Polyester needle threads can be divided into natural fibre needle sewing threads, synthetic fibre sewing threads and mixed sewing threads according to their raw materials.

1. Natural fibre needle sewing thread

Cotton needle sewing thread - a needle sewing thread made from cotton fibre by refining, bleaching, sizing and waxing. Cotton needle sewing thread can be divided into light-free (or soft), silk and wax light. Cotton needle sewing thread has high strength and good heat resistance. It is suitable for high speed sewing and durable pressing. It is mainly used for sewing cotton fabrics, leather and high temperature ironing clothes, but its disadvantages are poor elasticity and wear resistance.

3. Mixed needle sewing thread

Polyester cotton needle sewing thread - Made of 65% polyester and 35% cotton. It has the advantages of both polyester and cotton. It has high strength, wear resistance, heat resistance and shrinkage rate. It is mainly used for high-speed sewing of all kinds of clothing, such as cotton, polyester and cotton.
