Nylon fabric is commonly known as nylon. Nylon is developed by American outstanding scientist Carothers and a research team under his leadership. It is the first synthetic fiber in the world.

(I) Characteristics of nylon fabric

1, the strength and wear resistance of nylon are good, and the home has the first place of fiber. This is also one of the reasons why nylon is used as the raw material of mountaineering clothing and winter clothing. Clothes made of nylon are usually durable and not easy to wear.

2, the elasticity and elastic recovery of nylon fabric are excellent, but it is easy to deform under small external force, so the nylon clothing is prone to wrinkle in the wearing process, affecting the appearance.

3, the ventilation of nylon is poor, easy to produce static electricity. So it's better not to wear underwear made of nylon in case of harm to human body.

4, the hygroscopicity of nylon fabric belongs to a better variety in synthetic fiber fabric, so the clothing made of nylon is more comfortable than polyester clothing.

5, nylon has good moth and corrosion resistance, which is relatively easy to preserve.

6, the heat and light resistance of nylon is not good enough, and the ironing temperature should be controlled below 140 ℃. In the process of wearing and using, it is necessary to pay attention to the relevant conditions of washing and maintenance to avoid damaging the fabric.

7, nylon fabric is light fabric, next to polypropylene and acrylic fabric in synthetic fiber fabric, so it is suitable for mountaineering clothing and winter clothing.

(2) Types of nylon fabrics

1. All kinds of fabrics, such as nylon taffeta and nylon crepe, are made of nylon silk. Because it is made of nylon filament, it has the characteristics of smooth hand, firm and durable, moderate price, and also has the disadvantages of easy wrinkle and hard recovery. Nylon taffeta is mostly used for light clothing, down clothing or raincoat cloth, while nylon crepe is suitable for summer dresses, spring and autumn shirts, etc.

2. Nylon blended and interwoven fabric is the fabric obtained by blending or interweaving nylon filament or short fiber with other fibers, which has the characteristics and advantages of each fiber. For example, it is made of 15% nylon and 85% viscose. It has the characteristics of double warp density than weft density, thick texture, tenacity and durability. Its disadvantages are poor elasticity, easy to crease, wet strength drop and easy to sag when wearing. In addition, there are some kinds of viscose / jinfanliding, viscose / brocade / woolen tweed, which are commonly used fabrics.
